Pay Range: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
Travel time is paid portal to portal
$500 sign on bonus available.

PURPOSE/FUNCTION/SUMMARY (TRAINING NEEDS)

The Service Engineer’s responsibilities are to support our field service technicians and customers with troubleshooting and repairing machines manufactured and distributed by ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµ, via phone and email. Travel to customer’s site for complex repairs that require more technical knowledge. This role requires strong technical skills, customer service abilities, and the capacity to work independently in the field while representing the company professionally. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving problems and sharing their knowledge with others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide remote support to field service technicians while they are making repairs.
  • Provide remote support to Customers when their machines are not operating.
    • Document conversations and guidance provided to customers.
  • Provide support to the sales department to identify correct part numbers for sales requests.
  • Work with the Service Coordinator to provide accurate service quotes to customers.
  • Travel to customer’s site to troubleshoot and repair machines.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical parts for wear and damage.
    • Evaluate electrical components for faulty components, and/or damaged wiring.
    • Modify control parameters to ensure the machine performs within customer and manufacturer expectations.
    • Plan and manage travel logistics to customer locations to complete scheduled service visits.
  • Attends 2 to 4 trade shows annually.
  • Around 40% of the time travel to job sites within the United States and occasionally Canada and Mexico.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Education/Training:  Mechatronics or equivalent.
  • Experience/Skills:  5+ years’ experience in relevant field. High level of expertise in reading electrical schematics and electronics troubleshooting. Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision. Analyze information; use judgment; develop and maintain client relationships; equipment maintenance; strong written and verbal communication; quality focus; results driven; supply management.
